committees, please contact us. The committees are:
Auction
The annual Auction, held in late fall, is our primary fundraiser for new
equipment. The Auction Committee is responsible for promotion, planning,
procurement and set up of this fun social and fundraising event.
Junior Parent Committee
The JPC oversees the general development of the Junior program. This includes
all advertising, regatta travel, fundraising and social aspects of the
team. The JPC is very committed to providing the support necessary to
have a successful and safe junior program.
Masters Committee. The purpose of the Masters Committee is to facilitate the smooth operation of all of the Masters programs at SRA.
The committee will work closely with Coaches and Team Captains on all aspects of the programs, including, but not limited to:
Retaining and increasing Masters Rowers, including Independent Scullers
Coordination of class schedules, maintaining class lists/email lists
Making sure classes have Team Captains and hold team meetings to review policies
Providing class surveys/evaluations at the end of each session to get feedback
Fielding questions and comments from members/participants, and attempting to resolve problems at the committee level before bringing to the Board of Directors.
Recruiting and coordinating volunteers to fill needed positions
Coordinate the regattas that the Masters attend, ensuring deadlines are met and regatta information is communicated smoothly between the club and the Masters teams.
Safety Committee
Responsibilities include record keeping and maintenance of the: launches,
fire extinguishers, first aid kits and other safety items. The committee
continues to monitor overall adherence to SRA’s safety
rules.
