BANYOLES, Spain, August 31, 2004. Erin Knox of Snohomish, Wash. helped the U.S. junior women's four to the highest finish for a U.S. junior crew at the 2004 World Rowing Championships, Saturday, taking fourth place in its final on Spain's Lake Banyoles.

The U.S. women's junior four was one of three U.S. junior crews with local rowers in Saturday's junior finals at the world championships.  In the junior men's eights, Jesse Johnson of Mercer Island helped his U.S crew to a fifth place world finish in its final while Kari Stenbakken of Sammamish, Wash. and partner Mindy Fiesler of Jacksonville, Fla. finished sixth in the finals of the junior women's pairs.
