Courtney is SRA's Junior Women's Head Coach, Masters Women's Head Coach, and SRA Office Manager! With her she brings a long list of credentials to SRA. At Western Washington University, while earning her BA in Sociology, she rowed all four years, stroked V4+ 2004 & 2005, placed 3rd at NCAA Division II in the 2004 V4+, placed 1st at NCAA Division II in the V4+ and Team Title: First NCAA national championship in Western's History. She began working in the SRA office last Spring and that led to a full-time position by the Fall. She holds level II US Rowing coaching certification. Away from the Boathouse? "What's that?" she says! That would mean watching regattas on the shores of local lakes and rivers and towing shell trailers to regatta's with her good friend Greg. Surprisingly, she also finds time to go skiing! (March 2008)

Patty Bulger (patty.bulger)
Weekend/Evening Masters
Patty is the Tues/Thurs Evening & Saturday morning Masters coach and wants to pass on love of the sport & the fun and enjoyment in being part of a team. A sweep rower at heart, she loves the teamwork work that goes into making those bubbles flow freely, like Champagne, under the shell. It's hard work, but if you put in the time and trust your fellow rowers, the bubbles make it all worth the effort! Seeing excitement on the faces of the team is all she needs to make her day. She started her career in rowing at the ripe old age of 13 and was the fifth of seven Bulger kids active at Green Lake Crew. She earned her place on the very first US Womans Junior National Team in 1978. She rowed 3 years at Western Washington University before transferring and earning her degree at University of Nebraska at Omaha. Returning to Seattle, she began coaching at Green Lake Crew, just as masters rowing picked up speed in this area and continued until 1992. She brings over 12 years of coaching experience combined at Green Lake, WWU and Sammamish!
